my name is Tina Mischewski, and I am the Education to Employment Vocational Broker. Born and raised in Rotorua, I grew up in the Rotokawa community. I whakapapa to Te Arawa and Ngai Tahu on my mother’s side and Raratonga (Cook Island Māori) on my father’s side.
I have worked in career education for more than 16 years assisting young people and graduates into training and employment. Having worked for secondary schools, private training establishments, Careers New Zealand, and the local polytechnic (Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology) I have enjoyed mentoring and working alongside people to ensure they reach their full potential.
My current role as the Education to Employment Vocational Broker, requires that I build strong local relationships with businesses and schools, and act as a liaison between schools and employers in the Rotorua region to highlight local trades and vocational opportunities for students.
I feel very lucky to be working with likeminded people who make my job more enjoyable every day!
