Hi I’m Kirsty!
I am a Youth Worker Navigator at the Youth Centre and I am here to support and empower rangatahi by assisting, mentoring and coaching them on their journey into employment or study .. or where ever they want to go! As well as assisting young people on their journey, I facilitate our hospitality programmes including Barista and cooking.
I was born in Auckland, raised in the deep south in a small town called Gore, travelled around in my 20’s and have found myself settled in Rotorua (which is where her Dad was born and raised) with my husband and son Oliver.
I have a wealth of knowledge from working at Te Maioha o Parekarangi in various roles. Here I learnt a lot! I learnt that all youth have that something special inside of them and that they just need the right people around them to let it shine. I also learnt a lot about Maori culture, protocols and Te Reo – I want to study the language in the future.
Outside of work I love baking, cooking, being adventurous and spending time with whanau and friends!
So what are you waiting for.. come in and see us!
